Project Patch

Project PATCH is passionately committed to restoring troubled youth and building stronger families.

When a teenager is out of control and their family can’t keep them safe anymore they have hope through Project PATCH. Our Youth Ranch combines a loving family-like environment with time tested techniques to give troubled teens a chance at a brighter future. The program includes individual, group and family therapy, individualized education, wilderness experiences, community service, athletic activities, creative recreation and life skills training to equip young people for success once they return home. A powerful after-care plan provides support to the teens and their families and prevents relapse into dangerous behaviors. Alumni are welcome to call our toll-free number 24 hours a day to talk with staff about challenges or victories in their lives.

FUNDING: Project PATCH is supported through generous donations from people in the community who have a heart for youth, along with a lesser portion from fees. PATCH prevents teen suicide, pregnancy, gang involvement, high school drop out, violence, incarceration, drug & alcohol abuse and homelessness. It restores troubled youth and gives them the tools they need to become a confident and successful person. PATCH empowers them to weave their lives into the fabric of society, adding strength and beauty.

HISTORY

Project PATCH began in 1984 as a foster placement service, the dream of Tom and Bonnie Sanford. The PATCH ranch began operations in 1990. Since 1984 over 3,250 young people have been helped. It is the passion of all the staff to reach hurting teens and help them realize that they can choose to make their lives better. We provide community stability as the second largest employer in the Garden Valley, Idaho area.
